Be A GreenTourist

Today, there's growing concern on protecting the environment and more and more people are into Green Living. In houses, Green Architecture is going mainstream. Healthwise, Green Diet is also taking ground as evidenced by the growing vegans (vegetarians) out there.

Slowly, people are now aware that we can't go on abusing nature as we've done in the past. But i hope this growing awareness will lead towards sustainable change.

Finally, man is giving concern to Mother Earth.

With this website, i want to take this chance to give, in my own little way, some tips on how to help out our environment and do our share in making Mother Earth rest from the abuse she has had to endure in the hands of us humans and let her recover from the wounds MAN has inflicted.

Let's hope we're not too late.

1. Do not waste water when bathing. Stick to a 4-minute shower routine.

2. Turn off aircon, electrical appliances and lights when you go out.

3. Reuse your hotel's towels and sheets. Hang towels to dry after using so you cold reuse them.

4. Walk more or ride a bike to lessen use of fossil fuel used by motorized transports.

5. Dispose of wastes properly. Never throw your garbage by the beach or into the ocean.

6. Travel light. Get rid of unnecessary packagings and items, remember extra luggage means extra airplane fuel.

7. Bring a bag when shopping to eliminate need for individual plastic bags.

8. Turn electrical appliances off at the wall when you're not using them.

9. When possible, travel during the "off-season" to minimize environmental impacts experienced during popular tourist periods.

10. Follow the 3 Rs - Reduce, Reuse and Recycle whenever possible.

Let's do our share.
