Boracay: Deciding on Which Station To Stay In

I noticed in some clients that there's an important consideration they tend to overlook when travelling to Boracay, it doesn't put any significant burden on the budget, but it is equally important effect in the overall stay of a client. This is deciding which Station in Boracay will they stay in.

i will try to be as objective as can be with this post and try my hardest to help you out in deciding which station you should stay in.

Station 1 -

First the plus factors!
1. The beach is at its widest in this Station.
2. The sand is surprisingly the finest here as compared to the other two stations.
3. Lesser crowd means more privacy.
4. Main road and public transport is just a few steps away from the resort/hotel, meaning getting around the island is less physically challenging.
5. Willy's Rock, the most photographed spot in Boracay, is located here.
6. Stalls/stores are lesser in number here.

Minus factors!
1. Main road and public transport is just a few steps away from the resort/hotel, meaning the noise from the public transport are more audible when staying in this station.
2. There's really no pathway here so you walk directly on the beach which is pretty hard to do when doing a lot of walking.

Best For: Families

i noticed that our kababayans are more inclined to seek refuge here. maybe it's because of the lesser crowd or the finer sand or the Willy's Rock, whatever it is ... personally this is on top of my list. if you're looking for a mid-price beachfront resort/hotel that offer a higher degree of privacy then Station 1 is for you.

Station 2 -

Plus Factors!
1. It is where D'Mall is located, meaning shopping and restaurants are at arm's length.
2. Nightly entertainments are mostly found here from firedances to live bands to dance clubs.
3. Almost all of the island's activities and services can be found here.
4. D' Talipapa is located here, so fresh seafood is just a walk away.
5. Crowdy. Guests from Station 1 and Station 3 eventually converge here during lunch, late afternoon and dinner. Meeting new friends a big possibility.
6. Easy to walk on the pathway since it is concrete just beneath a thin layer of sand and palm trees offer enough shade to have a leisurely walk.

Minus Factors!
1. Very crowdy. Guests from Station 1 and Station 3 eventually converge here during lunch, late afternoon and dinner. Privacy and peace are more compromised here.
2. You can't get past a few meters without being offered products and services by tour agents.
3. In most parts, you need to walk a significant stretch of road to get you around the island by tricycle since the main road is a little far from the beach.
4. In most parts also, the resorts are adjacent local neighborhoods which make you sometimes think of peace (noise) and safety (rowdy neighborhors).

Best For: Barkadas seeking some nightlife; Vacationers who love shopping

The bigger hotel/resorts like Mandarin, Boracay Regency, La Carmela, Boracay Garden and Regency Lagoon to name a few are located here. This explains why the are is the most populous in the whole stretch of White Beach.

Station 3 -

Plus Factors!

1. It has really spectacular palm tree formations.
2. Easy to walk on the pathway since you're walking on concrete just beneath a thin layer of sand.
3. It offers the most affordable rates on accomodation. If you're staying longer than the usual 4days 3 nights then this station is highly recommended.
4. The sand is not as white and not as fine as that in Station 1.

Minus Factors!
1. Further to the end of Station 3 it is very dark and remote and i don't think it's a good idea to walk there late at night.
2. You need to really walk a significant stretch of road to get you around the island by tricycle. In this part, the main road is the farthest to the beach.
